Cozily clever, these fingerless mitts—a free pattern—knit up in a jiffy! The knit two, purl one ribbing is worked in the round, interrupted only by the button-hole-style thumb opening. It’s easy to make these mitts as long as you like. And if you fancy a different look, simply turn them inside out—they’re entirely reversible!

We knit these Reversible Knitting Mitts in —a chunky-weight 100% wool yarn from Brooklyn Tweed. Inspired by roving-style yarns, Quarry is light and lofty, but has a little more strength and stitch definition. Warm and woolly, it softens nicely after hand-washing!

The Details

FINISHED SIZES:
Child (Adult S/M, Adult M/L): Fits up to 7 (8, 9)"/18 (20, 23)cm palm; 9 (10 1/2, 10 1/2)"/23 (26.5, 26.5) cm long.

YARN
1 skein (200 yds/182m each); or approx. 75 (120, 140) yds/69 (110, 128)m of soft, chunky-weight yarn.
Add or subract approx. 5-6 yds/m yarn per knitted 1"/2.5cm per pair.

Shown in Adult M/L in color Obsidian (discontinued). We recommend Cast Iron.

NEEDLES & NOTIONS
US 8 (5mm) set of 4 double-point needles, or size to obtain gauge.
1 locking marker.
Darning needle to finish.

GAUGE
20 sts = 4"/10cm in K2/P1 ribbing, not stretched.
